Sea Mammals(aka Albi Deak Facebook as Sea Mammals/Facebook as Albi Deak/website Updated at 03:38 on 26 May. 2014 UTC) is another who posts some anti-whaling comments on Prime Minister’s Office of Japan. This discussion is originally with Toru Seo and Yamamoto San on an entry on 18 Apr. 2014. Now you cannot see without logged-in. But I captured the comments on 27 Apr. 2014 and the images are on my server: FTP/HTTP.
Sea Mammals says “it is amusing to think like non-scientists in short term…” and “Eat whales and dolphins at risk to a morbillivirus epidemic. I wish you much fun with whale meat. But does not say we searchers and biologists did not warn .“. It makes he look a biologist or so. But this quoted part is a lie, against his source saying “To date, there are no reported cases of human infection with cetacean morbillivirus. Morbillviruses do not tend to infect hosts that are not closely related“. If not a lie, he would completely misunderstand what morbilliviruses are.

Yamamoto San Thank you for your concern, there are virus outbreaks in all types of animals, Mad Cow disease, Bird Flu. Cetaceans are no exception to being affected by diseases.

Where on http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/pr/health/mmume/faqs_morbillivirus_ume.html says so, first of all? This quoted part looks to mean even that it’s little possible that cetacean morbillivirus infect humans. Even if it’s very possible, I just agree Yamamoto San , though.

Toru Seo “We searchers and biologists…” Do you mean we researchers and biologists? This alone tells you the level of a “biologist” you are.
Speaking on science, EC has already said it but morbillivirus is a RNA virus that requires specific host to propagate. As such cetacean morbillivirus is very unlikely to infect humans (we have our own called measles).
This is Biology 101 and you failed for lack of knowledge, not using empirical data, and most importantly, by lying.

Looking us down, Sea Mammals tries to dazzle and to scare us with a scientist card and with “morbillivirus”, a buzz word. But what morbilliviruses are is actually a very basic knowledge of biology to Toru Seo. And we, Japanese people can find it a very essential knowledge of medicine and veterinary science very easily with seeing モルビリウイルス：麻疹ウイルス，イヌジステンパーウイルスなど of Vol. 62 of ウイルス, the magazine of the Japanese Society for Virology.
* When I saw his website at the first, I found that he refers morbillivirus and brucella on its facts page or so in German. But now I can’t find. Possibly I misremember, though. I haven’t captured it. It would be interesting if I could’ve done and crossexamined him about it.
